Brian Rea was interviewed for the project in 2014. At the time he was 76 years old, Brian was brought up at Foxhall Farm (once known as Vauxhall Farm) on the Stourport Road. The farm was formerly part of the estate of Witley Court.
Brian went to school at Great Witley Primary School and tells stories about his time there during the Second World War in the mid-1940s. He recalls German prisoners of war working on the family farm and enjoying Christmas Dinner with his family.
Brian passed the 11 plus examination and went on to Hartlebury Grammar School. He still lives in the area – in Little Witley – and keeps in touch with close friends from the village school to this day.
