Daphne moved to Elmhurst Farm at Little Witley in 1990. After retirement she became more active in the local community, including helping with the Great Witley Country Fair 2014, Great Witley Quatergreen project and Great Witley Village Hall Committee.

Daphne is also a member of the Witleys Oral History Group Committee. She has recorded her memories of moving to Elmhurst Farm at Holt in 1990, as well as the local mill & mink farm.
